UPPER MANHATTAN EMPOWERMENT ZONE

The Upper Manhattan Empowerment Zone (UMEZ) seeks to revitalize distressed communities in its region by using geographically targeted public funds and tax incentives as catalysts for private investment. The ROZ Group provides technical marketing support and strategic business planning to UMEZ’s member non-profit and cultural arts organizations. Up South International Book Festival (a celebration of the arts, literature, music and dance) and Harlem One-Stop (a tourism organization that promotes Upper Manhattan as a premier destination) are among the groups supported by The ROZ Group.
